Ceiba Tops

Went for a walk on the wild side. Or at least into the rain forest. Partial second growth, some original old growth, and all beautiful! The lodge was named after the Ceiba tree, a magnificent 40 meter tall, and twice as broad, tree still occasionally found in the old growth forests. Home to bees, bats, birds, several tons of epiphytes, and who knows what else, it was the most awe inspiring monument to nature we've seen so far.













It's hard to take pictures of a forest, the trees get in the way! So here is a collection of some of what we saw:
