Plans, finally!

We finally figured out how and when we're getting home:
Currently we're at the Hotel Verol on the beach in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria.
March 8 ferry to Tenerife.
March 8-12, Apartmentos RF Bambi in Puerto Cruz, Tenerife.
March 12 fly Air Europa from Tenerife to Malaga, Spain.
March 12-16 somewhere in or near Malaga.
March 16 board the container ship Coral, operated by the French shipping company CMA-CGM.
March 29 dock at Savannah, Georga, USA.
Note that all dates having to do with the freighter are approximate. Freight loading and unloading controls, passengers have absolutely no say, and are given no consideration, in the schedule.
March 29-April 1 stay with friends Fred & Debbe Steele in Hilton Head.
April 1 fly Delta to Knoxville.
88 days, 12 countries, 2763 pictures so far, may new friends, and one hell of a lot of fun. Now to pay for it all ):

But until then, we're still on Grand Canary. A MUCH richer land than our various Caribbean and African stops, with clean and plentiful public areas, and important industries other than tourism. Alternate days we've veged out at the beach, or rented a car to explore the rest of the 50 km diameter volcanic island. Much of the perimeter is rocky and harsh, with many scattered sandy beaches. The dress code on many of the beaches is such that we chose to leave the camera in the car.

Somewhere in the middle of the old caldera we stumbled across a camel farm, and immediately signed up for a ride! They didn't give us the reins, which was probably just as well, Margie would have gone galloping across the mountains. Sophia was very patient with us, and didn't even try to bite or spit once. She was, however, quite happy to be rid of the carrier.
