Rio de Janero

Our goal this time in Rio was Corcavado Mountain, and the statue of Christ the Redeemer. There's a cog railway that takes 3,804 meters to make the 2,000 foot climb.

Great views of the city, Ipenema Beach, Sugar Loaf, and the bay. In the last picture above you can see two ships. Ours is the smaller one on the right. The larger one is Costa Pacifica, the same size as the Costa Concordia that capsized recently off the coast of Italy.

Finally, as we leave you can see what a big and busy harbor Rio has.
